Joining Nursery

If you are looking for setting that will nurture your child in a fun, caring and engaging environment, we would love to welcome you to Millbank Gardens Nursery! We know that each child is unique, and so we give each child personalised support to allow them to have fun, make friends and explore the world around them. Our experienced staff are highly skilled at guiding children to learn through play, giving them excellent foundations for Reception and beyond.

Children are welcome to attend our Nursery from their third birthday. Our Nursery is open during school term times. Children typically attend either for the full day (from 8.50am to 3.15pm) or during the mornings (8.50am to 12.00pm). However, we are also able to offer some places each year for children to attend during the afternoons (12.15pm to 3.15pm).

Finding out more and applying

We are always happy to meet or to speak to prospective families, and to show them our wonderful facilities, including our new Nursery playground. To arrange a visit or if you have any questions, please telephone Mrs Delaney on 020 3262 0068 or email admissions@millbankgardens.futureacademies.org.

To apply, parents are asked to complete the application form below and return it to the school office. A paper copy is, of course, available from the office. To secure a place at our Nursery, we advise applying at least six months in advance. However, places are sometimes available at shorter notice.

Fees

At Millbank Academy Nursery, we offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded places for 3 and 4 year-olds. For families who are not eligible for the 30-hour entitlement or require additional hours, top-up fees apply.

Funded Hours

  • 15 hours universal entitlement: All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education each week during term time.
  • 30 hours extended entitlement: Working parents may be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week.
Check eligibility and apply via www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

If you are eligible for the 30-hour offer, please provide your code to the school office before your child starts or at the start of each new term. Without this, we will need to charge for the additional hours.

Wrap-around care

We are always happy to discuss with parents the possibility of Nursery-aged children attending our wraparound care. A good number of children do each year, and they have a wonderful time. However, to ensure that children have a positive experience, it is important for us to agree first with parents whether children are ready for this longer day.
