How to Apply
Nursery
If you are looking for setting that will nurture your child in a fun, caring and engaging environment, we would love to welcome you to Millbank Gardens Nursery! We know that each child is unique, and so we give each child personalised support to allow them to have fun, make friends and explore the world around them. Our experienced staff are highly skilled at guiding children to learn through play, giving them excellent foundations for Reception and beyond.
Children are welcome to attend our Nursery from their third birthday. Our Nursery is open during school term times. Children typically attend either for the full day (from 8.50am to 3.15pm) or during the mornings (8.50am to 12.00pm). However, we are also able to offer some places each year for children to attend during the afternoons (12.15pm to 3.15pm).
Finding out more and applying
We are always happy to meet or to speak to prospective families, and to show them our wonderful facilities, including our new Nursery playground. To arrange a visit or if you have any questions, please telephone Mrs Delaney on 020 3262 0068 or email admissions@millbankgardens.futureacademies.org.
To apply, parents are asked to complete the application form below and return it to the school office. A paper copy is, of course, available from the office. To secure a place at our Nursery, we advise applying at least six months in advance. However, places are sometimes available at shorter notice.
Fees
At Millbank Academy Nursery, we offer both 15-hour and 30-hour funded places for 3 and 4 year-olds. For families who are not eligible for the 30-hour entitlement or require additional hours, top-up fees apply.
Funded Hours
- 15 hours universal entitlement: All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education each week during term time.
- 30 hours extended entitlement: Working parents may be eligible for 30 hours of free childcare per week.
Check eligibility and apply via www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
If you are eligible for the 30-hour offer, please provide your code to the school office before your child starts or at the start of each new term. Without this, we will need to charge for the additional hours.

Wrap-around care
Our after-school care is provided by Holiplay, who also welcome Nursery children to their provision.
Bookings can be made directly through their website.
Reception
Our Reception Class offers a warm, stimulating environment where children develop a love of learning, grow in confidence and are supported to be the best they can be. The class is led by Miss Hamama, our long-standing Early Years Lead and winner of the Trust’s Primary Teacher of the Year award.
We warmly invite parents and carers to visit and see our school in action. To arrange a visit or ask a question, please contact Mrs Delaney on 020 3262 0068 or email.
If you would like to apply for a Reception place at Millbank Gardens for September 2026, you can::
- apply online here; or
- contact schooladmissions@westminster.gov.uk to request a paper application form and return it directly to Westminster City Council; or
- contact Mrs Delaney in our school office, and she will be happy to guide you through the process.
Families from other London boroughs are welcome to apply. The deadline is 15 January 2026, and we recommend applying a few days before. If you miss the deadline, please contact us and we can support you with a late application.
In-Year Admissions
We welcome children who join us mid-year and work closely with families to help every child settle quickly, make friends and thrive both academically and socially.
To visit or find out more, please contact our office on 020 3262 0068 or email.
To apply, complete the in-year application form below and return it to the school office (paper copies available). Please note that Reception applications for or after September 2026 follow a separate process as explained above.
You can apply even if you do not live in Westminster. Each year we welcome families from across London, the UK and overseas.
Appeals
If you have not been offered a place following an in-year application, the law entitles you to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. For more information or to submit an appeal for in-year admissions, click here.
